HE DIED TO GIVE US LIFE

2 CORINTHIANS 5:13-20

Christ, the Messiah is, therefore, the Negotiator and Mediator of an entirely New Agreement Testament, Covenant, so that those who are called and offered it may receive the fulfilment of the Promised Everlasting Inheritance since a Death has taken place which rescues and delivers and redeems them from the transgressions committed under the [old] first agreement." Hebrews 9:15(AMP).
The benefits we now enjoy as a result of the Death of Jesus on the Cross of Calvary in our stead are enormous, specifically on the Life we received as a result of His Death. The Scripture declares thus: "And this is that Testimony that Evidence: God gave us Eternal Life, and this Life is in His Son." 1Jn. 5:11(AMP). Let's pause for a moment and meditate upon this simple yet profound Truth: Genuine Life can be found in no other place or person than Jesus Christ the Son of God, the Second Person in the Trinity, the Perfect Man.
"The consequences of the sin of one man Adam sentenced the entire human race to perpetual death and damnation. Your acquittal, restoration of Right Standing and Fellowship with God was also facilitated by the Action of the Man (Jesus). Well then, as one man’s trespass one man’s false step and falling away led to condemnation for all men, so one Man’s act of Righteousness leads to acquittal and Right Standing with God and Life for all men." Rom. 5:18(AMP). Adam’s sin brought death to humanity but the Gift of God brought us Eternal Life. (Rom. 6:23)
Jesus revealed that the pathway to multiplication and life is death. He further illustrated that you lose your life when you try to save it: "I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the Earth and dies, it remains just one grain; it never becomes more but lives by itself alone. But if it dies, it produces many others and yields a rich harvest. Anyone who loves his life loses it, but anyone who hates his life in this world will keep it to Life Eternal.
Whoever has no love for, no concern for, no regard for his life here on earth, but despises it, preserves his life forever and ever." Jn. 12:24-25(AMP).
The Miracle of the Cross is the Birth of the New Creation. When you give your life to Christ, you don’t improve on your old nature, but you will receive a Brand-new Life because your old life has passed away. (2 Cor. 5:17). The new life you received as a result of the Death of Jesus is the Life of God. The Life of God grants us dominion to reign on the Earth. (Rev. 5:10b). You are no longer ordinary because He that is in you is greater than he that is in the world and you can now do all things through Christ who strengthens you. (1Jn. 4:4; Phil. 4:13).
PRAYER:
O Lord, I thank You for Your Death on the Cross which gave me new life. I pray that the life I now live shall bring You Glory and Honour all the days of my life in Jesus' Mighty Name. Amen.
