HOLY GHOST BAPTISM
BIBLE READING: LUKE 11:13; JOHN 7:37-39; ACTS 10:44-48; ACTS 19:1-7
"And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance." Acts 2:4(NKJV)
The Normal Christian Life is one that is powered the Holy Spirit. In other words, the Fuel that keeps us going as Christian believers is the Power of the Holy Spirit. (Zech. 4:6) The Process that enables every believer to be filled with the Holy Spirit is called Holy Ghost Baptism.
The word "baptism" is derived from the Greek words "bapto" (noun) and "baptize" (verb) which means "to dip" or "to immerse or submerge something completely". Simply put, Holy Ghost Baptism is the Process whereby a Christian believer is immersed in the Spirit with the evidence of tongues. (Acts 2:4) Being filled with the Holy Spirit infuses believers with Divine Energy, activating both the Wisdom and Power of God within. (1Cor. 1:24) Holy Ghost Baptism has the Ability to transform a cowardly fisherman into a mighty apostle. (Lk. 22:54-62; Acts 2:14-38).
The beautiful thing about this is that the only criterion for being filled with the Holy Spirit is the New Birth. The Lord grant us all the grace to do the impossible "according to the Power that works in us." Eph. 3:20(NKJV).

Heavenly Father, thank You for the Gift of the Holy Spirit. O Lord, our hearts are open wide to Your Wisdom and Power in Jesus' Mighty Name. Amen.
