THE TEMPLE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

"Do you not know that you are the Temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the Temple of God is Holy, which temple you are." 1Corinthians 3:16-17(NKJV)
One of the Greatest Revelations every Christian believer must have is that the Lord God Almighty dwells within us. (Acts 7:48) There are three key dimensions of the Presence of God:
(1.) His Omnipresence: This refers to Him as *"the God Who Sees.." (Gen. 16:13)
(2.) His Manifest Presence: This refers to the Visible and Tangible Manifestation of His Shekinah Glory as Yahweh Shammah.
(Ezek. 48:35)
(3.) His Indwelling Presence: This refers to the Lord making His Abode or Dwelling within us as believers (Jn. 2:13-22).* The Glorious Reality is that every Christian believer is a mobile shrine that accommodates the Godhead but the sad reality is that few understand this (Hos. 4:6).
An understanding of the Truth that God doesn't dwell in a temple made with hands (Acts 17:24) inevitably causes us to take our consecration more seriously. The average professing Christian observes proper decorum when going into the Sanctuary during a typical Church service. (1Tim. 3:15) If only we truly realized that the One we go to worship lives in us as His Temple, placing the onus on us to carry ourselves daily with that consciousness.
PRAYER:
Heavenly Father, we honour You for the privilege of being Your Temple. O Lord, please grant us the Grace and Wisdom to behave ourselves accordingly in Jesus' Mighty Name. Amen.
