THE NEW MAN IN CHRIST JESUS

And that you put on the New Man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness. Ephesians 4:24 (NKJV)
The Greatest Miracle of all is the New Birth Experience. Something as spectacular as raising the dead doesn't even come close because a change of nature occurs and a Brand New Man emerges. This New Man was born not of blood, nor the will of the flesh, nor the will of man but of God. (Jn. 1:13) The Scripture makes it abundantly clear that the Lord Jesus Christ, Who is our Peace, had purposed to create in Himself One New Man from the two, thus making peace. (Eph. 2:15b). The New Man in Christ is the only thing new that never grows old. The Bible tells us in clear terms the following: Anyone who is joined to Christ is a New Being; the old is gone, the New has come. 2Cor. 5:17(Good News Translation) Let this reality sink in: The New Man in Christ is neither the renewed man nor the improved man.
New year resolutions can never produce a New Man in Christ any more than a lizard in Kenya can become an alligator in Kenyatta. The Born Again Christian is a New Specie that has never existed before. The Life he lives is an Exchanged Life rather than a changed life. The New Man in Christ is powered by the New Life in Christ hence we are admonished to put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man... and that you put on the New Man...(Eph. 4:22a, 24a).
This places the onus on us to lay aside behavioural patterns consistent with the old nature for a New Life requires a New Lifestyle. The Lord grant us the grace to acknowledge that the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, Who loved me and gave Himself for me. (Gal. 2:20b)
PRAYER:
Heavenly Father, thank You for making us a New Man in Christ. O Lord, please help us to live out the Life of Your Son Jesus that all men may see Him in and through us. Receive all the Glory in Jesus' Mighty Name. Amen.
